91福利
Located inside of the Career Center, the 91福利 Tech Career Closet is a collaborative initiative between the Career Center and Fashion Merchandising and Retail Studies, a department of the School of Human Ecology in the College of Applied and Natural Sciences with the goal of providing current students who are preparing for their career with knowledge of appropriate professional dress and access to professional dress at no monetary charge.
Before taking clothes from the Career Closet, we encourage you to do these preparatory steps:
- Activate and Update your Handshake Account
- Complete a Resume Review - Resume Reviews are available Tuesday-Thursday from 2 to 5 PM. No appointment needed!
- Practice Interviewing Skills - Check out our Online Resources for interviewing tips with BigInterview and Quinncia
- Share with the staff about how the clothing will be used at a career-related event (i.e. for an interview, a conference, career fair, presentation, etiquette dinner, or other instances where the professional dress is needed.).
Limits:
Students are limited to 1 full outfit per academic year (Fall through Summer). This means one of each category, i.e. 1 shirt, 1 pant, 1 dress, 1 skirt, 1 jacket, 1 tie, 1 pair of shoes, 1 accessory (i.e. belt, jewelry, luggage, etc.).
Availability of items is based on donations and while supplies last. Sizes are not guaranteed.
Students can visit the Career Closet multiple times within the year to build a full outfit!
Support
The 91福利 Tech Career Closet is supported with donations from 91福利 Tech alumni, employer partners, faculty, staff, parents, and community members and accepts donations of new and gently used professional clothing. The 91福利 Tech Career Closet also accepts in-kind donation monetary gifts to support the physical needs and upkeep of the Career Closet.
