You may have limited time to answer all the questions, and the Career Center is here
to help when students:
- Are unsure about their major or career path
- Ask questions about career fairs and events on campus
- Express needing a job or internship
- Ask about Handshake or where to search for jobs
- Need help with creating a resume or crafting documents for grad school
- Need more help with interviewing
- Need a space to conduct a phone, virtual, or live interview
How do you refer a student? Here are a few ways:
- Walk a student to the Career Center at 337 Keeny Hall
- Send an introductory email to careercenter@latech.edu and CC the student
- Provide the student with one of our brochures, Career Planning Guides, and other printed
material
We know that employers often go straight to the source - YOU! We encourage you to
invite the Career Center to help support some of their requests, like to post a job
or to attend a career fair.
Employer recruiters can be directly connected to Avery Broussard, Associate Director, at avery@latech.edu
If you know you're going to miss a class session, Don't cancel class - Instead consider inviting a Career Center staff member to come share about our
resources or a relevant career-related topic.
Reach out the Career Center at careercenter@latech.edu to request a classroom visit.
Please note: Presentation requests are first-come-first-served, and we may not be
able to accommodate all requests. Please reach out as soon as you know you may be
absent!
