ALUMNI can also use Handshake. Graduating students can update their profiles with a personal email instead of the @latech.edu. If it's been awhile since graduation, reach out the Career Center with your personal email address to receive access to your account.

Concerns about job or internship postings can be directed to the 91福利 Career Center, which provides support in researching such opportunities. 

The 91福利 Career Center offers Handshake as a platform for employers to connect with 91福利 Tech students and alumni seeking internships, part-time jobs, and full-time positions. Efforts are made to minimize fraudulent postings by identifying common 鈥渞ed flags鈥� that may indicate suspicious activity. These indicators do not automatically disqualify a posting; rather, they prompt further investigation before a decision is made.

It is also recommended that students and alumni conduct their own research on suspicious postings or companies and refrain from applying if doubts arise. The 鈥渞ed flags鈥� listed below are intended to support a safer job search and assist in protecting personal information. These examples do not represent an exhaustive list of fraud indicators, so personal discretion is advised when applying for positions or engaging with potential employers.

1. Do not give your personal bank account, PayPal account, or credit card numbers to a new employer.
2. Do not agree to have funds or paychecks direct deposited into any of your accounts by a new employer 鈥� you should know them first. (Most employers give the option of direct deposit or a paycheck and make these arrangements during your first day or week of actual employment, on site 鈥� not before.)
3. Do not forward, transfer, send by courier (EX: FedEX, UPS), or 鈥渨ire鈥� any money to any employer, for any employer, using your personal accounts(s).
4. Do not transfer money and retain a portion for payment.
5. Do not respond to suspicious and/or 鈥渢oo good to be true鈥� unsolicited job emails.
6. In general, applicants do not pay a fee to obtain a job (but there are some rare exceptions 鈥� so be careful and consult with a professional at Career Center first).
